The Alabama Department of Education has released the 2024-2025 school year report card scores. We are very proud to announce Olive J. Dodge Elementary School's report card score has increased to an 80/B!!!

REMINDERS: Per MCPSS policy students are NOT allowed to wear hoodies while at school! As the temperatures begin to cool, please keep in mind that students wearing hoodies will be asked to remove them.

MCPSS is partnering with Feeding the Gulf Coast to provide a box of non-perishable food to our students in need as a result of the SNAP delay. Parents and guardians of MCPSS students who are experiencing a food crisis in their household may request a one-time box of non-perishable food by completing this form by Wednesday, November 5, at noon: https://forms.office.com/r/kx5kxCBaKg For those in the community who want to help, we greatly appreciate your support. We encourage you to donate to Feeding the Gulf Coast. We have worked with Feeding the Gulf Coast to compile lists of local food banks that are helping our various communities. You can find this list in the attachments.

PE with Parents is BACK for Statewide Parenting Day! This year we are having fun with a MINECRAFT theme! Please come dressed and ready to join in the fun during your student's assigned PE time. We will distribute 1st Quarter report cards at the end of each class!

Good News Club starts Thursday, October 9th! There is still time to sign up. You may come by the school office for a paper application or register online at greystonebiblechurch.org
Grandparents' Week is September 8th-12th. We invite grandparents to visit the school and make memories with their grandchildren. There are two options for our grandparents to visit the school.
1. Grandparents are invited to lunch with their grandchildren any day during Grandparents' Week. Adult lunches are $5.50. Please RSVP to your child's teacher which day grandparents will be attending. Please see the attached lunch schedule for times.
2. Grandparents are also invited to come and read a story to their grandchild's class. Please contact your child's teacher for available dates and times.

Welcome to the 25-26 school year!
Our Meet the Teacher event will start at 3:00 pm in the gym.
While in the gym, you will have the opportunity to visit several areas:
Pick up your student's complimentary clear bookbag (required by MCPSS)
Sign up for Eagles' Landing (Before and After school care-only 75 spots available for the afternoon and 50 for the morning) - you will be required to pay the registration fee and the first week's tuition at Meet the Teacher with cash, check, or money order.
Sign up and get your 2025-2026 Carpool Numbers for dismissal
Sign up for Parker Pass (only 100 available)
Register to be a PALS member- our Parent Organization
Pay your $5.00 registration fee
When you are finished in the gym, you will be able to visit your child's teacher and gather more information.
